31 years service in a school is a prime example of dedication and commitment and Karen Pownall is no exception to this. Today, Karen leaves her post in catering at Sir Thomas Boteler Church of England High School after 31 years.  She has seen many changes in the school, but has always stood firm in supporting the school’s vision and values. She has brilliant relationships with the young people who show their love, care and respect for her on a daily basis in the dining room. Mrs Scott-Herron said “Karen represents the true meaning of our Boteler Family and she has been so supportive over the school’s transformation. We will all really miss her, but I will especially miss her and her kindness towards me and those little treats that often brighten my day”. All the staff, students and Governors wish her all the very best in her new role and want her to know she is always welcome at the school.
