On Friday morning, Sir Thomas Boteler Church of England High School’s School Council, TCAT Parliament and Student Leadership body met the Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Warrington South – Faisal Rashid. This visit was part of the school’s Parliament Week. A ‘Question Time’ activity was held, and the students asked a variety of inquisitive and thoughtful questions. Some examples are: ‘What is a day in the life of an MP like?’, ‘Why did you want to be an MP?’, ‘What can you do to address the issue of Homelessness in Warrington?’ plus questions surrounding policies and social issues. It was a very interesting and informative opportunity, with lots to think about. Students from all TCAT schools were involved in the event, hosted at Sir Thomas Boteler Church of England High School.
