Last week saw the Worship Ambassadors deliver Advent Services to each year group. The theme of the service was “The people who walk in darkness have seen a great light!” Isaiah 9:2. Our readings were about light and we played games with the students to show how we rely on information and light. Our chaplain Mike, told the students about the light that arrived on Earth with the birth of Jesus Christ and how that light continues to shine in the hearts of people today through their faith and actions. Mike used flames to show the power and hope that the light of Jesus brings to our lives and the students were impressed! The service ended with a piece of dance performed by some Y9 students. It was a wonderful celebration to help us prepare for the busy and important season of Advent.
