The Sir Thomas Boteler Senior Citizens Christmas Party is taking on a different guise this year with all the current restrictions in place. Instead of inviting the senior citizens into school, Sir Thomas Boteler Church of England High School is going on a Community Tour.
The Hospitality students have made hampers full of goodies for the senior citizens and will be dropping these off at the care homes. They will also be singing outside to the residents in a COVID secure way, to bring them some additional Christmas cheer. The BTEC Music students have created a virtual singalong of themselves signing some Christmas favourites, so that everyone will be able to join in.
Headteacher Mrs Scott-Herron said: “Christmas won’t be quite the same this year; that is why it is even more crucial that we look after our community in any way we can. The students have also been gathering toys and goodies to ensure those most vulnerable families also have a Happy Christmas. The joy of giving to others is what Christmas is all about and the staff and students at Sir Thomas Boteler Church of England High School really want to make a difference.”
